Honestly, I'm not sure if the OP is a PGI plant or not but I have to admit I'd pull the trigger on a package like this for $250 providing that the $120 spent would carry over to it.

You hear me PGI? You put something like this together even as early as Friday and I say here now for all to read that I'd buy it the moment it was offered.

Seconded. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

Not for me. $500 is way past my cost-to-desire ratio.

Kerensky Edition Founder's Pack
- Instant Closed Beta Access
- All 4 Founder's Mechs
- Unlimited Premium Account
- 160$ In-game Money
- Early Access to the Kerensky Cluster
- Partake in various Trials with other buyers
- Get your freakin' Madcat
- Star League Emblem (for avatar)
Price: 500$ USD

Buy, or no buy?

no because it's outlandish. Exclusivity is a very volatile thing to add to a gaming environment, which is why the advantages you get with the current packs are non existant as far as actual gameplay goes. Also early access is one thing in terms of regular play, but letting others have time in a competitive territory control environment to set up and fortify is a very unfair deal to everybody else but i'm starting to get off topic

unlimited premium or "lifetime accounts" is a very unstable idea. this will harm profits and will cause the developers to look for other ways to secure income, possibly going back on their claims of equality and fairness in the gameplay environment to sell things like special weapons and ammunition, which would be bad

bottom line is though they need to start considering things they can sell without impacting pvp fairness now before cash flow becomes an issue waaaaay down the road when most people have all the mechs they want and no longer need ingame currency. this is the problem with a money system in general when it comes to entertainment (eventually you run out of new experiences to sell causing customers to go somewhere else. see: the movie and gaming rehash industry) but that's an entirely different subject

1st of all...no... i don´t need clanmechs, especially not that badly to spend 500 bucks on something like that... 2nd... elite pack gives me a good headstart, and thats way enough for me...

500 bucks? i´d rather spend them for PC upgrades and additional controller´s and all that stuff :D

mmmm, very tempting. I would say $300 would be more in-range for that package though. Basically like the LOTRO lifetime membership. I'd bite.

I have 2 kids in private school so that kills my play money. Paying 120 was a lot for me. I needed to go on a diet anyway. :D If I was still single it would be Kerensky all the way.

Tempted but, heck no, even the Startruck :D online for lifetime sub, asked way less, altho they make insane rip-off on ship prices and quasy gambling boxes ( if you burn cash, you can still buy "gold" with ingame cash )

Timberwolf......... ... .. . Still no, sorry. 500$ is about 2 of my monthly salaries.
