i checked my options it is indeed "off"

but when i am getting hit and my cockpit getting rocked everything goes all blurry on me with the movement. it's hard enough to look past the shake and sometimes smoke to return fire and the motion blur just seems to add to that strain.

is there an option i missed?

Nope, the motion blur for weapon hits is 'part of the game', in that it's there for balance and all that yada-yada.

The idea is that it's extra incentive not to get hit. But it's stupid, in my opinion.

to me that kind of implies that you should fit your mech to spam missiles or autocannons.

the shaking, smoke and explosions is not enough i guess.

Simply having the weapons impact shake the screen will naturally cause REAL motion blur, since the image you are looking at will move.

The addition of motion blur, just like dof effects, are added in by people who don't understand what those effects are supposed to be emulating, or why they generally fail to do so and are bad additions.
