So, server side projectiles were a great success. SRMs seem to be much more reliable and don't flip off at odd angles as much.

However, I am still experiencing full SRM volleys hitting mechs and doing no damage and giving no hitmarker ^_^ The missiles clearly impact the mech but the crosshair and paperdoll remain untouched.

I hope this is the SRM fix coming at the end of the month otherwise people will start to get frustrated with the shoddy detection and switch to a different weapon that doesn't fire duds 10% of the time....

There is supposed to be another srm fix in the next patch that will help. Here's hoping.

Russ hinted at one for the 29th, hasn't given much more info on it though...

Something to do with the number of explosions allowed per frame on the server. Some of the srm's hits are delayed which cause misses or more spread damage. They are going to be upping the limit. This is why firing groups of srms in chain fire has been seen to produce better luck with registration.

It seems like less of my shots are registering, but my average damage per patch has gone up slightly. While it's frustrating to waste heat on firing at ghosts, at least I know I missed now. It would be nice if the heat/ammo shot at ghosts (hit was registered on my machine but not on the server) was refunded somehow.

You're not firing them out of range are you? (I'm sure someone experienced like you would never do that...)

He hinted it couldn't make it into the most recient patch. That sadly doesn't mean it will make it into the next patch either. They believe they found a fix of some kind though.

Experienced the same thing as the OP. While you now get to see all those shiny little 'splosions all over the enemy 'mech you sometimes do no damage at all.
SRMs are still pretty much hit and miss(ha!), one match they work like a charm, the next you do almost no damage and then they work perfectly again.
