This is my second post, so please excuse any mistakes that I make.

I was wondering if it was possible to submit mech models created and rigged in Blender to the forums, and possibly have some-one incorporate your model into the game.

If no, it's just a thought, but it would be awesome if you could add something like that to the forums.

As far as I know, there's no way to officially add fan-created models to the game, and part of that is probably for a host of legal reasons.

That being said, there may be somewhere on this forum where folks can post Batteletech artwork, and that would be an appropriate place.

1) Yes, there's a fan creation section where folks make fan art of current and desired mechs. Go nuts.

2) MMOs aren't likely to take fan submissions for anything other than may be a mech loadout (in theory, the Champion mechs are based on popular builds, though I'm not sure who runs some of those builds)

An Example thread.

Another.

Complete 25 matches and you will be able to post in those other areas.

Oh, I thought this was gonna be a fun thread about picking a random mech with a random loadout. A mech in a blender, get it?

Sadly you can't add your designs into the game itself. However, if you have enough modeling skills I'd say apply for a job with PGI, they could use all the help they can get.

I am assuming that you are tlaking about designs that fit the battle tech lore, and are era appropriate (we're still in 3050 I believe, not sure right now to be honest)

Place chosen mechs in blender and cover. Plug blender in wall socket. Switch it on. Now, blend. Is that what you mean

You could do a fan art, but it would likely remain as that.

No, I mean...
There was a thread about "If you had to sell all your mechs except one, which one would you choose?"
I was thinking something ridiculous like, what would you make if you had to build a mech from a random inventory of chassis and parts? Like, you have a TDR-9S, and a random assortment of salvaged weapons to build with.
