Help Me Choose An Assault Mech

So i finally managed to master a mech - The Centurion.
Now i'm looking for an assault mech to master.(Eventually will be looking for a mech for lights and heavy as well)
I currently have:
AS7-D(F)
AS7-RS(C)
HGN-HM
If i go for an atlas, i'd probably go for the DDC for the ECM.
If it was the Highlander i'd probably go for the 733C and some variant i don't know yet.
I'm favoring the Highlander over the atlas at the moment, because of the jump jets.
Its really annoying for me to get stuck on a small pebble.
What would you guys suggest, and why?

If you want to master the Atlas, get the DDC. If you want the highlanders, get the 733C, basic it out, and pick another one that you would like. The P is the energy boat, 733 is a pretty lethal missile boat, and the 732 is the old meta darling and can still be quite effective with 3 PPC's and a gauss.
Either of those routes is a solid one, just have to go with your gut.
I would do highlanders. You certainly want the full pilot tree on your hero mech to grind those c-bills.

Why, the only banshee variants worth a candy cane are going to be the ones that aren't uhh... jumpjetless freaks.
Edit: Well don't want to be arbitrarily dragging this crap off topic without contributing. I enjoyed my DDC a lot more than my highlanders but I'm biased by not enjoying popsniping. It may be wise to hold off on the highlander until you get a feel for the jumpjet changes coming tommorow.

Both have basic unlocked.
RS has 22k xp i cant spend, the AS7-D has 10k extra.

Just saw the post about the jj nerf.
Wonder how bad it'll be.

It won't make any difference to me if they left the full jumpjets set agility. I always kept the full JJ amount on both my Victor and Highlander.

Got the Boar Head and will soon master my founder Atlas with the DDC. The Highlander was mastered with Heavy Metal, 733c and 733c(c). The 733c as missile boat with 4 LRM +Art+Bap*TAG and the 733c(c) with AC20+ 2PPC.

Keep in mind the founder's mechs are pretty much hero mechs too. (25% vs. 30% Cbill boost.)
Might as well do the Atlases first, unless it's a matter of only one or the other. DDC is something worth having in your garage, but the Highlanders will give you a bit more versatility.
