Idea: Better Pilot/mech Efficiencies For Inner Sphere, Better Gear For Clans.

So clans have better weapons and gear, why can't Inner Sphere have better efficiences (better and more fleshed out than we have right now of course!) for their pilots and mechs that put them on par or nearly on par?

They're used to tinkering with their existing mechs right? Because most of it's lostech? Also they've been fighting wars for centuries straight, gotta be a good learning experience for the pilots that survive.

Just a little idea to differentiate from the "outnumber the clanners" crowd. Take it for what it's worth.

Problem is Crafty, It is how the IS was able to beat the Clans. We had more soldiers and we didn't fight "fair".

Because based on lore the genetic test-tube babies of the clans are superior pilots?

I did not know that, guess that takes a dump on my idea :)

In any case it's just an idea I had rattling around in my head for a few days and I had to get it down, even though I would actually prefer it if IS mechs outnumbered clan mechs in game. Actually now that I think about it, this thread should have been more of a hypothetical question than a suggestion, I.e why couldn't IS have better efficiencies than clan mechs.

I guess the clan mechs should have better efficiencies then, right guys? haha

If clan tech is very hard to get, and clan chassis extremely hard to get, then getting 3 variants of a clan chassis in order to unlock pilot efficiencies should be nearly impossible.

Therefore, increase/expand the 'mech tree so that it would take forever for any I.S. pilot to fully master ANY clan 'mech.

you cant ballance clan tech with IS stuff on a 1-1 basis period, thats why id rather see all the IS tech then any clan tech added.

but PGI seems to plan on adding clan stuff so the only way to ballance it would be the matchmaker, clan med= IS heavy, clan light=IS med, also setting up clan to fight on 5 man teams where they face 8 IS mechs or just fight other clanners.

Actually it is not a bad idea, i'd post this in the suggestion forum if i was you OP

The idea that IC pilots are more adaptive and "crafty" is supported by lore as ironical the only thing the Clan warriors were not ready for was.. War. And it is better then the numbers idea as it makes life a PITA if you were pugging.

A lot of the Clans advantages have already been taken from them. IS mechs can now change their load outs with ease. Double heat sinks are less efficient, and clan weapons in general are hotter than IS so they will be more effected. The clans will not be as overpowering as they were in lore. By the time they arrive everyone will have cutting edge, completely optimized 3050 tech, instead of the clans running into 3025 stock mechs with 3050 models slowly rolling off the factory floor.

In fact the closest we will probably see to an actual recreation of the clan invasion would be an 8 man premade rolling pugs in trial mechs.

When the clans show up, they will find the Inner Sphere has been waiting for them. :D

OP point is not vaild. any edge given to 1 side not lore based is silly. the efficencies are there for a reason, becasue we are not firing ever 10 sec. what about cross tech? it is lore based, pretty sure that will be an upgrade option for IS. no matter what the cost is ppl will pay for it, if it is worth it to them. most clan mechs are engery wep based, without a 15% increase in HS they will burn. we do not have ture DHS. even now its hard to tell how well teh clan mechs will run without playing with them
