Timing! I don't know if I would have bought a founders package if the email had not came out the same day the Diablo 3 1.0.3 hit and killed the game for me.

I don't think I could have paid any faster. This was one of the best games I've ever spent any money on and I didn't even play it yet. They excitement of actually getting behind a mech again but with awsome graphics is worth every penny spent.

Hmmmmm Lets see

I sold a kidney to get a comp that will run this game into the extreme.....Secretely this is good....I only need half the bourbon intake to get smashed, so I am saving money there.

I sold a lung to get the nuclear power generator to run the computer so I could run the game.......Secretely this is good.....I only need half the smokes to get the nicotiene fix, so I am saving money there.

I sold the kids for medical experiments so I could get the Legends Pack.......Secretely this is good.........I have increased my gaming time and halved the living expenses of this family, so I am saving money there.

When they release that new Joystick combo just for this game, I will selll the other half to white slave traders.......Secretely this is good.........I have increased my gaming time again and halved the living expenses of this family again, so I am saving money there.

So in the long run I have actuallly saved money by paying for the Legendary pack!!!

You see, where there is a will.....there is a way!! B)

I spent many hours playing MW2 on PC, and loved every second of it. I've also played table top a bit and had a blast.

I knew I would be spending some money on myself for something which I hardly do being a college student and all so I thought this was the best choice not to mention the sweet perks and helping out the devs of course.

All they had to do to get that extra 60 is like I have said before. Give me an option of 1 mech for each class, but know they only gave me 1 so they are going to take my money from me the hard way and I am fine with that.

Spent the monies so that they would make a GREAT game, not a good game on a shoe-string budget. My devotion to giant robots knows no bounds .....

And I get to use the catch-phrase "Legen......wait for it.....dary!" now. B)

because I too am a fanboy. I also want to support the developers, so besides being a human billboard for them, one of the best way to show my support is to purchase stuff from them B)

I bought this because of nostalgia. These past few days, this game has consumed my thoughts. Speculating about mechs and armaments in MWO, reminiscing about the old days of MW3 and MCG(the two Battletech games I played the most), perusing the Battletech wiki and getting reminded of the novels I read, even flashing back to my brief time with the TT game(I never actually played... I just enjoyed painting the models and "building" custom mechs).

That's why I bought a founder's pack, as for why I bought the $120 one, I wanted to make a point. It wasn't about the mechs, or the "savings," or the forum badge, or the early access(well maybe a little bit about the early access). It was about showing the devs, and everyone else in the gaming industry, that I support this game. One of the videos struck me, the one where Russ was talking about how he'd been trying to get the license for this for years, but he never could until now. I don't think he said so specifically, but I got the impression that the reason no one ever wanted him to make another MechWarrior game was because no one thought it would be profitable. Hopefully, they've already been proven wrong, or at least will be in the very near future.

You pretty much summed it up pal. If you plan on playing this game a lot come release or over a good time period, then you will more than get your money's worth out of your Founder investment. I know from experience that in a good F2P model you will spend 120$ or more anyway just in vanity for stuff you desire over a good 6 months. My League of Legends account for example had 125$ invested into it for skins. That sounds bad but I played it for almost a year and a monthly fee would have run you for 120$ in 8 months anyway. I got my money's worth.

I'm happy with my Legendary purchase as I know I will play the *** out of this game come release and others will have to spend more money to get what I got and won't be able to obtain my +25% cash mod at all.

Yup.. the OP is pretty much how I felt. I'd hardly seen any of the game.. hadn't seen a single trailer.. but I've played MW:LL (last touched about 6 months ago).. and it rekindled my love affair with Battletech in general. There have been mech games since Mechwarrior 1 2 and 3.. but none that "did it" for me... MW:LL came real close.. but due to the lack of players in my timezone and being ping-kicked because my ping was greater than 200ms.. left a bad taste in my mouth and I stopped playing...

MWO gives me a new opportunity and I am more than happy to slam down my $120.

If I get 1/10th the joy out of this game that I got from the hex based cardstock tabletop game version then its a 120 c-bills well spent imo.
