Ok I am sure it was Davion that turned dropships into traveling schools. I think they were near the periphery. Where did I read this? and was it a Mule?

IIRC Davion and comstar are using them in the outworlds alliance to help mend the wounds till the clan invasion. after that the support dried up. i remember theres a brief mention in CBFM periphery and in the davion CBFM, but neither has the full story i think your looking for. hope that helps a little.

Both the old and new Davion Sourcebook mentions them under the eduction section. They are called Vagabond Schools. They are actually cargo jumpships that where to old do haul cargo around. Students where flown to those ships to go through a program for a month or 9.

These dropship schools were dragooned back into military service during the clan invasion. They were put back into service prior to the FedCom Civil War and some are still in service today.
