I'll admit to being a Ghost Bear fan (try translating my username), but the FRR in itself is pretty badass! Plus, when the Clans come we'll be the first ones in the fight! Can't wait to salvage me a Mad Dog and paint it up in Kungsarme colors.

Well I think I'll end up going FRR.

Mead - Check (actually brewing my own at the moment, as it is hard to get in Oz)
Vikings - Check (family history is majority Scottish/Irish/Danish, and House Davion feels too vanilla and 'English')
Bears - Check (I wish I had a beard )
Underdogs - Check (us Aussies love underdogs!)
Ghost Bears - Check (one of my fav clans)

It will be interesting to see what happens to the FRR when clans arrive. I suppose they should be wiped out. lol. For no other reason it should be interesting to play as the FRR.

I personally have always felt that Steiner seemed very German to me.

If we where to look at which parts of the Inner Sphere that feels "Germanic" to me (and I will only mention the 4 big ones that feel Germanic to me)... then you would get the Free Rasalhauge Republic (Scandinavians are one of the original Germanic peoples after all, and to some minor degree maybe even THE original Germanics... note that I said maybe to that last part, things like this is never that clearcut), the Lyran Commonwealth (Steiner), the Federated Suns (Davion), and the Free Worlds League (Marik).

Which would combines into at the least 70-75+% of the entire Inner Sphere. Not to mention large parts of the Clans as well, seeing as they originated from the Inner Sphere. This is not even counting any of the Periphery states, many of those would probably also feel very Germanic to me... never really read that much in to the Periphery states for some reason though.

Why do so many people join with the Houses? Are there going to be sufficient incentives to make that kind of BS heirarchy worth more than a few rounds?
