Dunno if its been suggested before, but I would love to see some kind of indicator inside the cockpit or UI showing the status of missle bay doors.

There's a small light on the bars of the cockpit, 2 of them if its a Catapult or Stalker. Green = open, yellow = closed, red = destroyed.

They should be a part of the the HUD. Cockpit lights are useless when using Thermal or Nightvision.

Umm- turn off NV or Thermal for a split second to look at it?
I'd rather they not spend resources to "fix" something that is functioning. Besides: I like the fact that it's functioning right now...
