So I've been playing these games for years but I've never really dipped much into the lore.
Are there any books I should read that are good? I'm a big fan of clan Wolf and Wolf's Dragoons if there are any stories with them in it.

Clan Wolf and the Dragoons actually were at the center of the Invasion Era. ;)

Try the Warrior Trilogy by Stackpole (how Steiner and Davion became united)
Or for the invasion, the Blood of Kerensky Trilogy (same author) story of the initial stages of the invasion up to Comstar's counterattack.

Can't leave out Wolves on the Border, it revolves around Wolf's Dragoons.

Wolf Pack does so too but I find that story rather meh.
