Imagine that's on the way Flaming... great basic movement tutorial on the Test Server that comes up when you first log-in. Gives basics of movement/controlling your Mech and using Jump Jets. Hopefully this stays and we'll see it in game in the upcoming patch. Now, it didn't cover weapons or grouping but as I said, we can assume that those points will get added... (if it's not there already... didn't have too much time today to run the Test Server myself... just a few minutes to look around... more online time here in another half hour...)

It's been two years, and there is a tutorial - but it explains only a tiny tiny tiny miniscule amount of what you need to know. I've just essentially given up on the new player experience, myself. At least the trial mechs don't suck as hard anymore. Too little too late, really, but better late than never.
I think the devs want this to be like EVE - brutal in many ways, only accessible and interesting to a few, and "toss them to the sharks" kind of introductory experience. That would work if they had a complete game that included dynamic CW like they promised to keep people around and a balance system without gaping holes of frustration in it. Well, no, balance is good for the most part... it's just ECM and missiles that are a wreck.
I just keep playing and assume they're OK with how things are going - if something is wrong on the money front, it's on them. I can make suggestions but at the end of the day I've got a tiny perspective on a pretty big item.
