I was just curious how many of you guys have come from, or been a fan of World of Tanks, given the obvious similarities between the two games. Anyway i was curious if there is a clan/community that like that, that exists within this game. Or if not the possibility of forming one.

AOD has had a large presence in WOT since beta and we've got a division for MWO as well.

I played for three months until the playerbase got on my nerves with their ping spamming, team killing, and general ****talking.

Met a few good people there, but wasn't enough to keep me. Eventually just cancelled the account even with unspent gold on it.

Well, this topic has pulled me out of lurker status. I still play WoT with a small group of friends and my son. I just moments ago was talking to one of those friends and asked the question, "If it plays like WoT but with BATTLEMECHS (we used to play the table top version) will you like it?" My own answer is, "DUH... yes."

Thinkerton is active in clan wars on WoT, if we do join MWO as a clan it will be a small presence at first. Most of my [THNK] peoples don't even know what Mechwarrior is, but i have got several to come join the forums here.

Yes, we still have a WOT division on both the NA and EU servers. I've been playing WOT since beta in AOD and will only stop playing when MWO releases and it becomes my main game.

i played that game off and on for a while, until someone in a random match mentioned Mechwarrior Online. I only reinstalled WOT recently because i have a bunch of friends that play it.

Another thing that ruined WOT for me was RO2's tanks, controlling a tank from first person view from inside the tank always left me wanting more when i played WOT.
RO2's tanks were also balanced. :)

Participated in the closed beta, & the open beta.

A month ago I bought a months worth of premium to try and get back to where I was Pre-Retail.
I played for 4 days and didn't touch the damn game again until my premium expired, and the real reason I bought premium in the first place, the main motivation rather? They were giving a portion of the proceedings to veteran's charity associations.

Wargaming, the only company that can mess up an air mmo when they have more than enough funds to do it

@Wolven
If you can get Patreal interested, tell him I said Hi, will ya?

We go way back to CBT and rolled together in the Steam Train with Ody and the rest of the crew. Thanks man, I'm looking forward to see him again over here =)

I play WoT regularly. My first though in my first battle was, man this would be cool if these were 'Mechs.

If MWO takes the best of WoT and leaves the worse. This will be a killer game. As for one person complaining about the playerbase, thats going to happen in any online game. I don't think MWO will be different.

I play WoT and I'll be coming to this asap. The gold ammo, the statements of desiring hisorical stats on guns but then shorting them, often in huge amounts, ignoring different types of armor when it comes to armor levels, pay to win consumables, and numerous bugs that simply aren't patched out (disappearing shots, wide open field and a moving tank not appearing till right in front of you)

As long as those types of things don't happen in MWO, I will be happy.

i jumped ship already. i have all tanks in wot, play cw alot and have played since it launched. compared to this game its utter and total crap. i cant believe that i played tanks so long and put so much money into it.

i really really hope MW:O crushes WOT and the game dies like it should

Hello! Im kinda expecting more from this than WG ever gave us in WOT. And a better end game mode than CW.

Yip! Still rollin' around in tankz. 7.4 (likely) droppin' this week! French TD's, arty, &... AAAND... new game modes. lol - silly it took this long, but meh. Took quite a long break back in the fall - kind of getting burned out now... just in time for August 7 hopefully. :)

Also, sadly, I hope to leave a large portion of that community over there. Alas, I'm sure over time, they will sadly filter over, and before you know it, we'll have plenty of afk's/tk's/ and general a** hats galore.
