How would I go about joining a clan like "The Marik Civil War Campaign".

Just look at which teams are involved, and find their threads in the recruitment forums. I'm sure someone will take you

Keep in mind though - a lot of competitive teams are going to require that you practice with them for a while before they'll take you in an actual Tourney drop.

For instance, my unit (the BlackStar Alliance) is in the MCW, and would happy to have you apply to be a member, but it would probably be a few weeks of practice with us before we'd consider putting you on our tournament roster. You might have an easier time looking at some of the lower-tiered teams (like the teams labeled as "pirate factions" or the Tier 4 teams).

I've never been much of a competitive player in the sense of joining any clans/units for really serious competitive play. I simply don't have the time and/or interest to adapt to a competitive schedule. I might try to get involved with some players on the Comstar TS and play in some of the open cups, though. My Misery thanks the rulemakers for excluding the underrated LB for ammo shortage, btw. I shall feast on my enemies' salty tears

See you on the field.

There is nothing wrong with having to prove your self in training prior to going out in the field. I'll start looking this weekend.
