Greetings all,
The idea of the MFB was really introduced and pushed in the MW3 game and canonized in the 10 part novel series "Trial under Fire". For the game, it offered the player a method of allowing damaged Mechs to repair or rearm anything that wasn't destroyed or missing. One element could suffice but 3 were the standard of a fully closed Mech bay. The problem is these were not invented until 3059 and clan elements arrived in 3060. Well beyond where this games time line is currently at.
Mobile Field Bases are similar to a DropShips 'Mech or vehicle cubicle, providing a repair platform equipped with the same gear minus launch mechanisms and amenities. They were first put into use by the Federated Suns and Lyran Commonwealth in 3059 and Clan Coyote in 3060.
- Mobile Field Base vehicles are completely unarmed.
(so your model has take a few liberties with it's weapons.)
The current maps we have in-game now, don't really offer much in the way of any location that could even remotely offer some semblance for this vehicle to operate. The Alpine and HPG area's might have the size needed for this element to be operated, but most likely it would be a building structure. (and the description of HPG even states this.) The magic "quick time" these units operated at really doesn't fit well into the current game we have, given the entire match can only be lengthened to 20 min.'s in the new Launch module. (and that is using Premium time options.) And the MW3 game was limited to just a few elements, starting with only single Lances, but finally ending with the company size. (all Ai but a least that size.)
I would hope that as we advance closer to Community Warfare and linked match drops on Fronts and Planets, we do start to see sequential objectives similar to how the earlier games handled missions.
(capture this, destroy that, attack this , defend that, all tied into completing a single running mission.)
With possible branch's somewhere in there, for the contract element to be used or employed. Resent statements from the Dev.'s have eluded to the next game mode, Attack/Defend, that will bring some really unexpected items into the game.
"There are indeed some interesting surprises in store for attack / defend." So, who knows, anything might be possible when we talk about that type of game mode.

Side note: For the Clans this unit could be related to the W 7 construction facilities and units they employed, with one believed to be completely mobile. But this was well after the Jihad timeline and featured locations that were both in Clan areas as well as IS locations.
