i have been playing this franchise for some time. i am proud of PGI and the dev team for all the work they have put into the game. it is however, a BETA game. it is a never ending train ride of tweaks and tragedies.
i was once a big spender on this game. in it's first BETA stage i felt i was helping bring a game i have enjoyed for decades to a new generation of gamers. did i mention i was big spender? i am embarrassed now. it has been more than i have ever spent on any other title. FAR more. and for what?
the dynamics of the game shift dramatically and often. i think it is to try and generate income from new players. it makes me not want to spend on the game though. i have stopped. i was going to delete the game from my computer but the investment hurts. so. i will utilize the resources available to me and try to enjoy the game as it changes. i had 40 or so mechs a few months ago, i think i am down to 25 or so now. i keep selling them to pay for weapons and ammo and the like. soon i will be down to none. i have no interest in the clan stuff coming because i have 0 faith it will be executed in any way that could be considered stable or fresh or fun.
this is feedback pgi. i have posted comments in other ares of the forums to address specific bugs and issues with the game.i hope one day you will get around to reading or responding to not just mine but the many issues that have been brought up in this forum you created.

Well technically the game is still alpha, as it is far from feature complete. Then again beta and alpha nowadays are rather arbitrary terms that have lost much of their meaning.

If you don't like where the game is now or where it is headed, stop spending money on it. Wich you say you did and I applaud you for it. Quite a few more people should have that amount of self-restraint.

If you don't enjoy playing the game anymore just uninstall it, fill the empty space with something new and fun and then, in half a year, or a year, check back and see if you like the game again. You really don't have to "endure" just because you spent sooo much money, if it's no fun anymore it's no fun anymore, move on.

You ever go to movies at the theater? You realize how much you spend there?

$15-$20 for two tickets.
$15 for popcorn and two drinks.
$30-$35 total.

And that's just for two hours of entertainment.

Who cares if you spend more on this game than any other you've ever played? Most people get far more than their money's worth out of MW:O. They just don't think of it that way because they are stuck on the $60 "AAA title" model.

I've spent over $1,200 on this game. Averaged out over the time that I've been playing, that works out to be about $56.00 per month. That's about one AAA title per month. Have I gotten my money's worth? HELL YES! I've bought AAA titles and played one or two hours before deciding I didn't like them, and ended up throwing them away because of the draconian return policies stores have nowadays. Those were definitely not worth it.

Anyway, as Ironwithin stated, go away for a while. Your "investment" will still be here when you get back. They're not going to delete your account or anything.
