Okay so, I was doing some worrisome research over at sarna,
This is a Mad Cat (timberwolf) Production Year 2945[1][2] Model Prime Class Heavy Cost 24,233,124 C-bills
This is an Atlas. Production Year 2755[2][3] Model AS7-D Class Assault Cost 9,626,000 C-bills
Now as you can see in price wise the madcat is more than TWICE as expensive as an Atlas.
This i can almost understand because of the advanced technology and construction techniques, as well as the almost 3 century difference on design. However, In game this is pretty sore for the IS boys,
I propose this,
The release of second or third generation mechs to offset the clans tipping the scales way in their favor. Because as it stands i can buy a whole assault LANCE to every ONE madcat. In game im worried that they will be either overpriced or overpowered, A single matcat I dont care how good of a clan pilot you are, you should NOT be able to take on multiple Assault mechs.
Unfortunately a problem i found with this idea to update inner sphere mechs is that they generally dont start getting second generations or thirds until AFTER the clan invasion. like in 3075 i think is when the ATLAS 2 came out and even then its still half as expensive as a madcat.
Just a though, probably wont go anywhere but a thought nonetheless.

A fully min-maxed Atlas in MWO is closer to the price of the stock Mad Cat than the stock Atlas is (although still not fully equal in price). Note that a big part of the price discrepancy comes from the Mad Cat using a very huge XL engine, whereas the Atlas uses a STD engine that is smaller than that.

They already said they're nerfing Clantech to provide "balance"... Its just going to be a super expensive Orion with yellow lasers instead of green.

If you want realism then the Clan tech will kick the IS tech in the ass for a while. However, in this game I suspect the a Clan tech will be semi balanced by some ninja heat increases. Not realistic to lore but easy to do here.

Or lower ROF since TT was turn based not real time. It'd also reduce the overall heat gain of clan weapons since I imagine clan double heat sinks will only dissipate 1.25 or something like that since they're only 2 slots not 3 and PGI already broke the entire double heat sinks dissipate 2 heat and singles 1 thing.

They already said Clan Tech and Mechs won't be the same as in the TT version of BattleTech, so just stop.
Clan Mechs will have a couple of very teenie tiny so called advantages, and a couple of glaring disadvantages in MWO, and this has also already been posted by the DEVs.. Things like fixed engines, only being able to swap out omni pods instead of being to really tweak the weapons loadout to fine tune it, and not the customizable advantages that the IS Mechs have..
The boogyman is not going to be Clan Tech, it's going to be the other way around.
There is no way in Hades that they could put Clan Tech into MWO the way it is supposed to be, and they have already said it won't be implemented that way..
Look it up..

Will the prices remain the same? as it stands already EVERY mech is overpriced, clan mechs god awfully more so, Who is gonna grind to get those 25 MILLION cbills to get a STOCK madcat. when they could fill their hanger with stalkers and atlas's for the price of 1.
