Awesome! Nice to know there is no pressure on us.
We are champions of PUGs just because we are using stock mechs, and they aren't! Not our fault they can't keep up with our awesomeness! (Awesomes may or may not be included in that statement.)
I have my 1M for scout support scouting...
That's the thing with stock mechs in PUGs. If you stick to the mechs intended roles, they can still preform rather well. (Not saying they can out preform, mind, but they can still do well.) Also, the more familiar you are with the chassis, the better your performance should be. I regularly do 200-300 damage in my 4J. Had a match today where I almost broke 500 damage even! (I believe I was at 480 damage?)

Cool. That would be amazing! (I wonder, if there was a mech called the Amazing, would it be as cool as the Awesome?)

Overall, I think the switching (after giving it a few weeks to test) has been working very well keeping team skills even and balanced. Only when the matches started to get small did stomps started to seem to happen, but because people were shifting, no one team did all the stomping either.
I'd also like to add, if anyone else is interested in joining the Stock Mech unit I've created, just send a message to me or Lt Kataren (Kataren is the "general" of the unit right now. Don't ask me who makes a Lt. a commander of a unit... ).

Though we do need to track the 'Atlas = win' metric in our matches.

I remember the 2 Locusts and a Hunchback vs a Battlemaster and Thunderbolt (It was a thunderbolt, right?). That was one intense match! We barely managed to take down that Battlemaster to a win... One more hit and my Locust would have been gone! Then I don't think a small laser only Hunch could have finished that one off (as we lost our first Locust taking out the Thunderbolt).
Did anyone keep track of the number of matches where the Atlas was in that ended as a victory? (Just wondering. Could be interesting information.)

Carl is starting to track that metric, along with whether or not the undermanned team loses more often.

People want to earn space bucks for stock mode otherwise its totally gruelling to "level up" a stock mech in the main mode.

It's not everything we'd like, but it's making Stock matches an official part of MWO, and that's a good thing.

So far, the ones I know I'll be good in I've done well in and leveling them has been a breeze. However, ones I know are not my strength (typically the other two variants I need to level the chassis), well... Stock mechs are best in their given designed role... When playing said role is not in your strength/skillset... It becomes a lot harder for you. (I can tell already that the Locusts stock are going to be a PAIN, besides my beloved 1M with the LRMs on it.)

All I have to say on that is...
KING CRAB!
(Nope. Not excited at all....)
I think I will be asking (demanding) to play a few stock matches in my King Crab when it comes... Cause it's a mech I'm sure I can do well in as complete stock (or nearly as I could see DHS and extra ammo being considered).
AH we already know, and I'm thinking that's going to fill in a nice stock mech spot. Some LRMs and AC20? (That is default, right?)
Atlas... Um... anyone know what an Altas S is? I'll probably let that one collect dust, as Atlases don't interest me much.
December. Everything changes. For then comes the King of Crabs! (Now we need their minions in the game... I want me a Crab too!)
(Edit: Needed more emphasis on the King Crab part... seriously, I don't think it's big enough still...)

Been enjoying the response thread. I have to say, I haven't seen the MW:O Forums have this much positivity in them in a while. That one thread might cease to exist because most people are happy there.
