Hey all. Not a new player here but one who had stepped away from the game for about 4 months.

I currently have about 13k general XP and I was wondering what modules to spend it on since things seem to have pretty radically changed in that department since I left. Is there a general consensus, up to date, tier list out there?

Note: I currently only have advanced zoom and I tend to like to play heavies in either medium distance direct fire support or brawlers.

Thanks in advance.

1) Seismic. When you're not moving, having glowing red dots on your mini-map tell you what's nearby and moving, and at what speed, is invaluable. Saves you from running around a corner into a group of 4 enemies quite handily.

2) Target info. Do you like seeing where enemy mechs are unarmored and vulnerable? Want to see that FASTER than your opponent sees it on you? This module.

Can't go wrong with Advanced Sensor Range and Target Info gathering.

I still like seismic and advanced zoom as the must haves, after that cap accelerator is nice for mediums and lights, advanced sensor range and target decay for LRMs.

Otherwise there are always the consumables: artillery strike and Cool Shot, which if you're a brawler can be very useful.

It's worth noting that arty and air strikes have both received a big buff (each shell is an AC40 shell now, basically if even one shell lands on an enemy, it will have paid for it's cost) There have also been many cases of insta-headshot because an AC40 shell hit the cockpit.

Improved Gyros is great if you want to limit screen shaking. I have found myself in many brawls whereby the reduced screenshake allowed me to finish off opponents when returning fire.

The other one I swear by is Target Information Gathering. I enjoy being a surgeon and surgically remove damaged enemy components. This kind of fast info is a must in my playstyle. Also allows you to get enemy loadouts more quickly and see what kind of weapons they have to bring to bear on you or your allies.

Modules are dependent on the mech they are installed on.

Example, any Mech with long range LOS(line of sight) weapon should have Advanced Zoom and Advance Sensor Range, then Target Info Gathering;

another example : All light Mechs can should carry an UAV and Seismic Sensor, then a Target Info Gathering or Advanced Sensor Range modules.

example: All Assault Mechs should benefit best from Hill Climb, Seismic and then Advance Sensor Range in that order, then Target Info Gathering and if this Mech has long range LOS weapons, it should have Advanced Zoom module.

Also, Any Mech that has LRMs, should have Advance Sensor Range, Target Info Gathering, and Target Decay

Yes I know all these are very expensive. But the first module I list in each example is a must have.

Get Target Information Gathering. It's good in most situations, it's versatile.
