Currently in Assaults, the bases are being used as a refuge for crippled mechs or underdogged teams more than they are being used as a victory condition to be captured- Make it so that just killing the enemy will not win the match on it's own...instead the enemy has to be killed AND the base has to be "captured" as well. (or destroyed...changing the base into a destructible object instead of a "captured")
The option to rush the base for the win instead of killing your enemy would still be valid...mostly just so your team can opt to cap the base at the end of games, rather than hunt down disco'd mechs or that one guy that runs and hides because he doesn't wanna have his K/D ratio take a hit.
