What type of controller are you going to use to dish out punishment in the Inner Sphere?

(no idea if this has been done yet)

Mouse and Keyboard are standard for me. Always played with them and I will continue to do so.

I loved the old mouse and keyboard. Then I met the Logitech Sidewinder and I never went back.

Well, for airplanes and battlemechs, I'm not sure how to play with a mouse and keyboard, would have to really tweak my settings a bit more than with my ol' joystick here. :)

The sidewinder spoiled me as well. Being able to control torso movement, direction, and pitch with one fluid motion wrecked me. When i first found the free MekTek Mercs I didnt have a joystick and nearly threw my wireless mouse through the screen. For some of us the joystick is just the only fluid way anymore.

Mouse to point at things in the menu's, keyboard for which to name things, log into the game, and maybe, if time in a fire fight permits to chat, joystick with which to aim and guide my mech and its weapons, a throttle quadrant with which to provide locomotive inspiration to my mech, and a computer with which to play the game on, an internet connection with which to allow me to play at all, electricity to make it all happen, and time enough to ya know, play XD over done? probably, but funny enough to me

I'm not playing for immersion. Keyboard and Mouse for the accuracy of a mouse, and the versatility of a keyboard.

Thanks man just voted ... I am keen to see if ANYONE else uses a trackball.

In fact, I use the same trackball I got when I first started playing MW4 when it first came out ... most hardy peripheral device I have ever known :)

I knew one other that used a track ball for a game like this. Your minds display a skill I will never be able to master. More power to you. This does indeed peek my interest also.

is it possible to move the aiming reticle independently of torso movement? i swear i saw the reticle moving in some of the vids. if so it'll be problematic aiming efficiently with it while using a joystick/kb combo. maybe some kind of joystick/mouse freak show, but i don't think any of us have much practice using the mouse in the offhand. if not i think a twisty joystick would be the most intuitive control device.

the reticule linked to arm mounted weapons moves. the one linked to torso/shoulder mounted is stationary.

I believe it was accounting for arm movement if it was. Which would only bring weapons on the corresponding side arm to bear. Not sure though I would have to review the videos a bit more closely.
