After the patch yesterday, I was grinding a new Thunderbolt (5S) and decided to put ALRM 20 and a ALRM 10 on it and grind it as a LRM boat.
In several matches, even though I was seeing damage done to the paper doll target, I ended up with ~120 damage done. This is with 1 Kill and 7 assists on one of the matches with well over 800 LRMs fired (I have nearly 1100 in ammo).
I'm not a total noob . . . I don't fire at mechs who are clearly unhittable due to cover, I check my fire against the paper doll to make sure I'm scoring hits, I don't waste a lot of ammo going after light mechs at high speed, I prioritize targets with TAG on them and de-prioritize targets covered by ECM, etc. Probably 15-20% of my fire was with TAG active (either mine or someone else's)
I also noticed several enemies frame clipping badly in multiple matches (wonder if they're related).
I'm not saying I didn't do damage - clearly I did. But it wasn't scoring the damage for me (or at all?).
Anyone else have this issue?

LRM20s do little to no damage due to their spread, which usually ends up hitting the ground when the mech moves. Avoid using large LRM packs unless you're certain your target can't move anywhere quickly.
So, if you want to spam LRMs, opt for a KTO, or a STK, or a SHD, or any other mech with 4-5(6 for CPL-A1) missile hard points. Pack LRM5s on it and use chain fire. Best part, you can stick large energy/ballistics due to feather light LRM5s. Also, don't use artemis with them, it's pointless.
