OK does any one have a idea if say, a persons mech is destroyed in battle does he get to chose another for the next battle or has to wait a week 2 weeks to get same type. If not then it should be 5 tons lighter . Or if very hvy damage and only say he fought in assault and what he gets is light mech or the other way around he should lose recon ability if in assault

At this time we know very little on how this would work. Please use the search function we have many threads dealing with mech salvage, destruction, loosing them, replacing them, etc.

Sounds like a very non-fun mechanic. Plus it would make sure the best players had an even larger advantage than just their skill.

I disagree. If anything, it's a balance mechanic to have to use the same mech over and over again. There's no point to try to really stay alive if you know you're going to just get a new mech if you die. You should have to keep your mech, repair it, etc. and if it blows up, well you have to buy a new one. This way, people who have been in the game longer have to spend their money on other things rather than just bigger guns.

Perma-death for mechs would be terrible game design. And even if they did do it the forums would explode in QQing and it would get changed very quickly.
It's pretty safe to assume that you'll always get your mech back and the damage it's sustained will dictate the cost of repair.
The furthest they'd go would probably be in destruction of equipment. But permanent destruction of chassis? No. Bad game design.
