It may not look much on paper but this has surprisingly been one of my best performing mechs recently
27 wins to 11 loss - 77 kills to 22 deaths - 385.5 average damage

i don't know its because people ignore trebs first or if its the ballistics or if its mechs running at me thinking easy kill lol or if its because people don't aim for my legs

And you must be wise of your AC 5's shots , you can't afford to miss or spread around too much with 120 ammo but i found its still uncommon to run out and even then either im half dead or enemy is

Been cockpited about twice or so and legged maybe once

2 AC 5 - 120 shots
2 medium lasers
2 SRm 2 - 100 srm ammo
272 armour - 99.8 kph - can do 94.4 kph for another tonn of armour or ammo

Here is AC 10 - 2 mid pulse - 2 srm 2 - 12 doubles at - 101.6 kph with 288 armour

or GAuss - 40 shots - 2 mid lasers - 2 srm 2 - at 101.6 kph but 10 doubles and 288 armour

These builds are pretty much a Hawk without the JJ's, more speed but less armor. So the question is....why run the TBT when the Hawk exists unless you really like TBT?

I wouldnt run any of them with that small amount of head armor. A few LRM's volleys would ruin your day...

well smaller profile and lesser of a target while still packing firepower and speed and having 2 highmount hardpoints unlike the shadowhawk - energy and ballistic

I can say that cockpiting by lrm's has not happened in a very long time

[Saint Atlas and the Commando Elf]

I decided to start mastering the Treb after plaing around 500 matches in Atlasses (indeed Atlasses, not Atlai). I was fed up with being the f** primary target on the whole battlefield.

The Treb is just the opposite. It is so average, that hardly anybody will aim at it, as long as you stand next to another mech.

err treb slighty i think anyway if i were to get my arms shot off i would lose my arm mounted srm's leaving w mid laser in right torso

while if hawk loses arm it loses its lasers and left with 2 missiles in odd configed hardpoints

You'd still have the hawk's main weaponry hardpoint in the left ST.
