Hammerhands : 75 tons. Never seen in a MechWarrior game, Fed Sun's 2475 mech named for the AC10s in each arm, carries all weapon types.
Bandersnatch : 75 tons. Never seen in a MechWarrior game. 3052 mech, but, hey MWO should be in 3052 by now, right? Looks cool, carries all weapon types. Hero mech is the Horus with an AC20.
Black Knight : 75 tons. 2578. Problem is all the Black Knight models are energy boats, but maybe the uproar of it blowing itself up every match would inspire PGI to abandon the DHS 1.4 thing now that they have that solved with Heat Scale (Ghost Heat). Also the BL6-RR is a canon cross-tech mech fielding Clan tech ER Lasers and a Clan ERPPC.
Basically I am saying MWO needs another 75 ton mech or the Zeus with it's LRM/PPC/AC-Gauss capabilities.

I'll show my fanboi-ness in the Urbanmech, but they won't get any kind of attention I'm sure until we see a highly urbanized map, because they really are quite impractical on any map we have at the moment.
A Wolfhound would make me really happy, and my lore is rusty, but I want to say they should be in production at the moment.
Gravedigger is a 3100 mech I wouldn't mind seeing, but as has been pointed out, it's silly to chomp at the bit this early. It also only came in one variant, so they'd have to 'invent' a couple more.
Though the Fennec is much closer in the timeline, and that's one darn sexy chicken-walker. It also suffers the 'three minimum variant' problem, only having two base models.
Assaults, I'm hoping that when the clans get here, they bring some of their 'clunkers' with them. Wakazashi would be fun to take for a ride.
And I think that's about it for my 'hipster mechwarrior' list of things I'm hoping to see in the future. For the most part, anything I could have wanted is already available and I'm pretty much set until clan 'mechs hit and the previously mentioned show up.

Crab, the littlest crab
King Crab, the crabbiest crab
Most wanted but are Clan tech
Piranha, dakka dakka dakka
Others
Archer, an energy-balanced version of the catapult
Black Knight, a cool-looking energy boat
Venom (note that the Venom is very similar to the Firestarter in MWO)
Katana, a cooler version of the Battlemaster
Urbanmech (i.e. the April Fools joke that became real)
Assassin, a bug hunter

AI vehicles and infantry would also be cool. Being in charge of a tank or aerospace platoon in a scenario would be nice.
more levels is probably as important.
moree mechs?? Meh. Wee have tonnes of mech chassis but no change in game experience.

As of 3145 the Fennec has three variants, but the 5CM is a serious glass cannon with the XXL. I do really like the chassis though.

We're still missing one, available of carrying two Gauss rifles or two AC20s. Something just has to be released to oppose Daishi.
King Crab, Emperor, Devastator etc.
regarding new heavy mech:
we seemingly already have all types of mechs here: ballistic boat, missile boat, energy boat, jump-sniper, jack of all trades. Nonetheless they just don't shine enough, except for Cataphract. So I'd bet on missile brawler or 70-75ton energy-jumper.
Excalibur looks nice.
Guillotine
Flashman and Black Knight are the worst possible outcome.
Medium mechs:
are pretty much covered with Shadowhawk variants.
the only gap is 40-45 ton mech with missile hardpoints.
Light mechs.
Are outrage, because the best versions are hero-variants. Laser hit detection is screwed up, and there's no end to this in sight. It might be caused by certain connection routes, which makes it even more beyond repair.
Nonetheless this game has to have a ballistic-energy boat non-hero light mech.

Probably going to need 60-80 million C-Bills for a trio.
As for the Uziel, as great as it is:
Released 3065 (2029 / 2030 'real world'time).
Doesn't have the required 3 variants until:
3070 (2034/2035)

Bah, that doesn't concern me. Add it anyway
Honestly though, they should make a bit of an exception for the Bushwacker. I think there was some prototypes floating around near the Clan invasion time period. Don't know about variant availability though.
