Since you guys are doing this hotfix for the mess at hand... why not get that varible in there for solo drop only? Make it a nice check box to let the solo players have that CHOICE to drop into solo or premaders drops.
Granted if you decide to put some premium time on it.. you will lose a crap ton of customers just FYI.
BUT give us that choice as well since the 12 mans can now load and so on. 3333 system and the concept of giving a player CHOICES to play in the type of matches he can would be real nice.
Logical of course too...

Logical to get it in before community warfare as well.
I can see it now the PUGs blaming enemy premades for them losing Premades blaming uncoordinated PUG team mates for them losing it will be finger pointing back and forth.
I personally think seperation is a bad plan and the overall goal should be drawing the whole userbase into one pool for match making and using additional features to equalize the playing field but...
I have to come to terms with the fact that instead PUGs will blame Premades and Premades will blame PUGs once CW is in play and this game gets "serious"

the whole premade argument is lame in my opinion. I've gone up against premades before and crushed them and vice versa, played with a premade and they sucked ass and cost us the match...

I'd rather they didn't, as it would separate the community into different parts, and increase wait times for matches.
Not for premades, it's overkill, you don't need this in the public queue. If premades are viewed as the proverbial boogeyman, I'd point out that that's not the case, for a few reasons. Mainly because premades can only consist of a lance, and there will only be two premades a match, and premades will always be matched with premades. Being in a premade certainly doesn't guarantee victory, you don't have this enormous sway of the battlefield, it's not as simple as winning equals make a premade.

Grats to you,... however I should add, I want the choice... not the to omit. Hey, if you like to go against premade groups without the coms, strats, concepts of who you are in your group, where you are and how to converge on a target as one, while also being able to ask for help and instruct your team which of course will listen while you make a strat on the fly and ability to also focus on one goal overall, then you go right ahead.
I want to play in my real world of Pugs driving into mountains they cant go up, shooting each other in the back.. wandering in circles to see how the cool lasers look in the snow and also forgetting how to load a mech up before you go into the drop.
... Yeah Again.... CHOICE... Then lets see how it really plays out. The argument of a premader having an advantage over a pug solo player is a fact of reason. That is not even a debate anymore. Admiting it is another step. Just be real at this point and not foolish.
Every person here knows how some pugs go vs a premade group based drop. Best example is the 12 man stomps going on right now. Its a bloated version sure.. but the point is clear and made.
Someone arguing with me that a 12 man premade has no better chance then a 12 man of pugs.. is just insulting at this point and really pretty much bullshit. So add in a 4 man.. which can make or break the team and we all freaking know it.
Just allow the choice and see what happens....

Then the problem is simply ignorance.
This is not how the match maker works.
There isn't pug vs premade, and there certainly isn't pug vs 12 man.
Upon observing matches, it just doesn't appear that premade groups hold any sway on the battlefield, a claim that requires quite the stretch of the imagination. Not only that, but it's unsubstantiated. I donno, perhaps you could ask Bryan or Paul etc in the next Q&A to go through the metrics to see how pugs stack up vs premades in the public queue, I'm sure they wouldn't mind having a quick look.
