Hi, my friend. It seems we didn't get a chance to finish our polite, congenial discussion at the end of the match tonight. I'd like to clarify something for you, neighbor.

As you may recall, your team was soundly kicking the snot out of ours, and I offer you congratulations. I had managed to attain 3 kills with my Centurion before you guys had me at a 4 to 1 disadvantage. In the snowy conditions, I realized I would be hard to see if I flanked you, which I did. I found a solo Cataphract, and took him out with my 2 MLs and 3 streaks ( the 3rd kill had managed to blow off my LB10x before dieing). I take no joy in this as he appeared to be either drunk or new.

I then spotted a crippled centurion across the battlefield, so I circled around to his blind side, and with many volleys of missles to keep his cockpit rocking and MLs at his good leg, managed to end his fight. That's when you in your Atlas and a buddy in his Wolverine showed up, and I was donefor.

I guess the commentary about "Show yourself, you are just wasting everybodies time" struck me funny, as I managed to take out 2 more of your crew after you posted it.

I don't type fast, so my "wasting time LOL" comment, followed by "5 kills" wasnt intended as a brag, but as a rebuttal to your statement. I don't recall what was said by you after that, but it seemed our conversation unfortunately degenerated from there.

I'm unsure of the protocol, but look me up if you'd like to continue our conversation. Happy hunting!

I love that this has the feel of a Craig's list "missed connection".

He's not referring to you Craig (lol)

On Craig's List (the site) there's a sub-area known as "Missed Connections" where people post about that "one true love that they saw across the platform today". It's a method some people use to try and meet people that they otherwise would have never had the chance to know.

And deny us this funny story I see too often?

I actually had one match were I was told "You aren't hiding very well. We can see you are trying to capture Epsilon." I was the last mech on my team. My response "Who said I was hiding? You know where I am. Come and get me!" Some more wise banter happened between us (mostly me for fun) and then did a little bit more damage and promptly died. (So much for my banter!)

One wonders if this qualifies as "name and shame" given the reported nature of the conversation (it makes Stormlord look rather bad).

I'd say it's a borderline case? He doesn't exactly say what was said... and even he chalks it up to probably being a misunderstanding... (Something we all do, which can be shameful, but I don't think that is the "shame" that rule mentions?

I'd also presume that the OP would delete the thread if the person responded with the request, or once the person responded... (But I can't say for sure.)

(Honestly, when I read this, I wasn't seeing Stormlord in any worse light. It appears to me like it was just a misunderstanding and/or frustration talking.)

Should've been a private message from the start.

As the player in question has a forum profile, you could have send this message to him without involving the rest of the community.

You could also have contacted support if the player did anything violationg the code of conduct or the griefing rules, but from your description, this wasn't the case.

I know, that this "hiding/waisting time"-topic is coming up often, but please do not publicly target other players for their opinion about it. I removed the name from the OP and the title and will now close the thread.
