Light mechs in their current form always turn every match into a twitch fest whoever has fastest reflexes and best ping time wins.
Let's create a game mode to bring back some of the traditional battletech feel. Big slow lumbering beasts trading shots and ripping armor off chunk by chunk. Not the current situation of 3 seconds of frantically trying to hunt down the tiny little pixel dashing all over the screen before it eats you alive with 20 machine guns! wtf?!
I propose a game mode without any lights and only 6v6 teams. Why 6v6? Because the first part of a 12v12 match is whoever reaches 6 first usually wins. So lets skip that part and make it the fun part instead. The 6v6 midgame is where the action is. Even if you lose 2-3 team mates early you can still make a comeback, unlike the current 12v12 where the first team to reach 50% margin usually wins. 6v6 is tighter grouping, closer knit teams, better coordination. 2-3 person lances, etc.
The action in this game mode should be slower paced, harder hitting, you will survive more shots from only 6 mechs instead of 12. The matches should last longer, better tactics, overall - more fun!
Added bonus: Set up some repair points on the map that if you stand on them you repair structure and armor BUT NOT limbs or disabled weapons. Also, it reloads your ammo.
