Yeah... glad I did not get the gold skin pack. Just as gaudy as I expected it to be. That said, it looks like it is applicable to the non-Invasion geometry mechs, so that increases the value for the pack a bit. Just nowhere near enough.

That said, if I saw a pack including the Arctic Cheetah and the Hellbringer....

Ok. Looking over the picture again, I think alot of why it doesn't look like gold is the lighting. Most notable in the pictures of the Adders at forest colony. The ones of them sitting on a white background look way more like gold than the ingame screenies. If you don't know what gold wrapping looks like (and not gold chrome wraps on cars) you can look up on google the McLaren F1 engine compartment. The whole engine bay is lined with gold to dissipate heat faster.

I have to agree up to some bit, but truth is SC is looking good and already has comunity with organization groups and alliances within the verse. So far is looking good while producing additional content. time will tell.
Two different beasts cannot compare them.

Yeah, and we were supporting the game when we became founders years ago. Look how far THAT has brought the game. Instead of just being a never ending release of mechs modules or colors for sale, now we have a deep game with factional battles, planet captures, numerous modes, and community warfare. It's not just an FPS with only ten maps and more expensive single content than many fullon games are.

It is when you consider it's all digital content in a game that is pretty much the same product that was put out in open beta and this game will, most likely, be history once they've told us for the umpteenth time that CW will again be delayed.

Yeah, there will always be hangers-on that just can't enough of rofl-stompin pugs, in the exact same game modes over and over and over again.

This game is like a patient (a loved-one) of a terminal disease, you keep spending money on the "next big cure", all medical doo-dads, and treatments, all the best doctors and facilities. But, in the end you know the result, that you just can't handle facing straight up.

It's gonna die, and we're gonna be left heart broken and empty walleted. While the big wigs at PGI/IGP waltz away with all the free money we gave them for three game modes on a handful of pathetic maps with a Shit-ton of pretty shiny Mechs. Most of which we can't use because game mechanics are, have been, and probably will be till the bitter end, BROKEN.

All because the "august" body administering this farce couldn't figure out a way to monetize all the aspects of the game we've been pretty much asking for since the beginning.

These mechs look much better than the Timber Wolf, which I bought (a la carte, nor the gold).

I won't spend $500.00 in MWO (or any game), but I understand that those who got a Golden mech are not paying for an exclusive skin, but are enforcing their support to a game a lot of other people plays for free. I praise their... er... dedication and if we drop together, I would take a bullet for them.

i'll just take a 1/2 ounce of real gold instead since its worth the same amount, not some pixels in a fake half finished game

If your gold is reflecting that much of the green spectrum, it's either a gold alloy, like gold and silver for green-gold, or it's brass. Not a big fan of brass, although it probably would offer more protection, and not be 25 lbs a brick.
