I've been trying to install MWO for the past 2 weeks and keep getting a MD5 Hash corrupt error. Read some posts on the forums but none of the "fixes" work. This is a new install on a new computer, with admin permission in use while trying to install. I'm not an IT or computer genius, just a regular person who expects the software to work. My previous cpu was running the same OS(W7) and I was able to update and play the game.
A foolproof(one that allows a user to click and install/upgrade without manually changing computer files/settings) interface is the minimum standard. Please effect one. The current one is a feckless disaster.
Finally, I am a $100 beta pre-buy customer that cannot access the game, I want to play this game, please repair your broken POS install/update software.

I have this same problem on one of my PC's. Cannot figure it out. Despite uninstalling and clearing temp folders and such.

It is very sad to say. But I've been dealing with this problem, just the same as you for the last week myself. I've lost track of how many times I've un-installed the game, cleared the registry, re-installed the game only to get the same error. Even the repair tool doesn't work for me, it stops at 99% completion with an error that says the program has failed to respond.
I would say, put in a support ticket. But I put one in a week ago. And I'm starting to become convinced that the support department can't even fix their own issues. I've tried every one of the other responses to get this to work. Even trying to update it in safe mode with networking, to no avail. This whole situation is un-nerving. Whats even more insane is like I stated above. Support for this game can't tell <Censored> from their <Censored>. And they don't even operate on weekends. What kind of bfe customer support for an mmo doesn't work on weekends?

Ill assume that i probably won't be able to play this game anytime soon with all the threads about this error going unsolved...back to Mech Assault while i wait for a fix.
