No. Delete those "Yes" votes and add "I want to be able to rent a mech" to the poll.
"Yes" would be like buying a new frame of a car, slightly different or another material. Possible, but... NOT!

@Uthael
No it was worded fine.
we shouldn't have to 'rent' mechs.
You see people buying stripped down cars from places like the junkyard or other legal sellers that allow them to rebuild the cars as they see fit or rebuild it back to it's former glory.
So how should this be any different?
we see the same thing in BT via books, rpg, or the game itself.
what do you think salvage is?
mercs tend to sell stripped down mechs if they need the cash or do not want the mech because they cannot fix it, find the right parts for, ect.

The only problem I could see is for a New Player. Being able to spend all your money on a Chasis, and it not be equipped could potentially be a negative experience. For existing players who want a frame, it works fine, but for new player to have a new mech and still not be able to drop with it would be frustrating.
At least with any current mech, you buy it and play with it right out the gates.

Have a warning popup:
"WARNING: The 'mech you're about to buy has no weapons, engine, or armor and will be unplayable until you buy these components with cbills! Continue?"

I thought that being able to get 'designs' via the supply caches would be a really cool way to do things.
Have to build the mech from the ground up but that would be kind of interesting.
Take it a step further though.
What if it's a new variant or even individual omnipods that you cannot collect any other way other than via the supply cache?
Buying it from the 'factory' with c-bills or MC feels a little different.
But there could be add an element of surprise and that effort to collect them via the supply caches which I think would be very interesting.
