Maybe add the ferro fiborous for an extra 1.44 lbs?

No streak ammo and the AMS ammo should be in the head or leg.

Personally think the K is the best. 2xLL, 2XML,ultra, LRM10, ams, 300std, dhs, es, ff.

Not too bad, however, it does seem you are missing ammo for your streaks  (nevermind. seems while I was tweaking, someone else mentioned it). Also, with streaks, it is almost mandatory to have a BAP along as well so you can punch through ECM and get a lock.

I have modified your original rig to the following:
ON1-VA

I dropped the AC/10 in favor of the UAC/5 to free up some weight, added a bap, moved the ammo around some (with 2 tons with four streaks, you'll have 25 shots) and also added FF to gain some additional weight. I would also consider experimenting with SRM's after the next patch, as, by the sound of it, they might be the brawling weapon that they should be.

You should add a 2nd ton (at least) of streak ammo - and 2 tons is a bit low. And you need BAP. If you want to try the streak VA brawler - try something like this - http://mwo.smurfy-ne...8ddb4e4193b5477.

As a mostly sole Orion pilot, I guess I should probably pipe in. As mentioned before, the K is the best C-Bill Orion out there, with a build something like this:
ON1-K
But, if you do want the VA, I would recommend something like this:
ON1-VA
Alternately, if you want to go SRM brawling post 29-4, then this would probably work:
ON1-VA
As for your own build, here is what I would do to make it better:
ON1-VA
The AC/20 will really help with brawling, plus it is nearly as effective as the AC/10 at range. Get in close and start to rip them apart.

Thanks fellas. I do like the idea of changing around between the ac20 and uac5. In the past I have stayed away from the uac5 due to unreliability. nuthin like being loaded for bear and then havin a missfire. I'll give it a whirl

Another thought is that if you want that AC10 drop in an XL to free up some weight. Even after the hit box fix the orion handles an XL pretty well and other than the SSRMs you can stay at range a good amount of the time.

I run my VA like THIS. I used to run it with Streaks, Beagle, and maxed out leg armor, but I found that my desire to be doing something caused me to constantly be looking for close up fights way to early. Swapping to LRMs gave me something to do at range, and though I now have less to brawl with, I'm brawling against enemies that aren't fresh.

I'm running these 2 Orions VA:

ON1-VA - very similar to your build, but with XL, BAP and more heat efficient.
ON1-VA - CQB variant. SMR6 can be replaced with SRM4+A if you want more accuracy. Avoid firing SRM's all at once before PGI will repair HSR.
