I run the Repair Tool every patch, after the recent Hotfix i got some graphic glitches where cockpit artifacts "washed" away the other graphic however a run of the Repair Tool fixed this so far.

Now its not only Patchs but Hotfixes too...PGI, you should make it an automated part of the update process!

I agree, its current implementation is less than optimal.
