You know these moments, when you have a love-hate Relationship to the choices you made? I do, the first mech I bought was a CPLT-C1 because I thought, LRM sounded lovely and artillerying my way to riches sounded like a nice Idea back then. But now, as I slowly begin to understand the way everything works and actually begin to understand the use of half the stuff in the mechlab (the other half is still a mystery) I also began looking for a loadout which might be more fun and less situational than the LRM-build
TL;dr: Tried something different for a CPLT-C1 loadout and you guys please tell me how much I´ve messed up (and then I cry over how much of a fortune this loadout would cost me)

No need to hold back...
By the way what´s the deal with the cooling efficiency, what´s a tolerable number? Am´I gonna die of Heat stroke? AGAIN?

You have no ammo for your SRMs.
Drop the CT large pulse. Add in 2 medium lasers, 2 jump jets, and ammo.
Might work. You're strictly close range with this, so you're going to want to be mobile to get in and out quickly on other mechs. The jump jets will help with that.
Should be fairly decent in Canyon, River City, and Crimson Straight where you've got good cover to get into your optimum range. On open maps like Alpine, you're going to have a bad time.

damn, you´re right with the ammo...
is it even worth having large pulse? or would it be better having some medium for better heat management?

Firing more than 2 of any large laser (normal, ER, or pulse) at the same time generates extra heat. As for heat efficiancy numbers, you want Smurfy to tell you at least 30%, the MWO mechlab 1.2 or 1.3 or higher. Note that if you have weapons you will not frequently be firing together you can give yourself more leeway (e.g., if you are packing LRMs and medium pulse lasers).
Your design is very short range focused. It's generally a good idea to have at least one multi-range weapon. I'd probably drop the CT mounted LPL for an ERLL, and use teh opened tonnage for SRM ammo. I'd also seriosuly consider cutting 2 heat sinks for a pair of jump jets as you won't be using the ERLL alongside the rest of your weapons in close (unless you're desperate), and jump jets just really are very useful.
I run my C1 as an all'rounder, and it's worked out pretty well for me so far.

Large Pulse are awesome and they mix well with medium lasers (their range is somewhat comparable).
As Marine mentioned you need ammo for your Srms and you should take at least one jumpjet.
Another thing you should do, is maximize armor in the torso. Better take some armor from the legs or arms but never from the torso. I would put more armor in the front and less in the back.

If you don't have Artemis, look into SRM 4's, tighter flight pattern, faster refire, more efficient with the ammo you'll be able to afford.

You don't have any missile ammo.
Here you go.
Traded the SRMs. Forwarded the armor (if you're not looking at the enemy you're a fool anyway).
Enjoy.
Btw, 52% is a reasonably solid number. And either fire them 2 then 1, or chain fire them with backspace.

If you want to use those missile tubes, and get a more efficient engine, ie one you'll use in more mechs, I humble submit this.
