I'd like to see when one player is defeated, we can view from and maybe even control one of the base defense turrets. This would make the 'post defeat' portion of the game a little more interactive.

Wouldn't have a problem with it and it would be nice to give people who have to wait till end of the game something to do. Problem is that PGI has so many other things they should use their resources on first.

Mixed feelings. It'd be fun and something to do, but I can see turrets going from a nuisance to actually something very dangerous. Hm... though they do already target the weakest points...

If they put in a 13th "Commander" position (someone giving orders and without a mech to pilot) it would be nifty. It would also give a in-game reason for capturing the command point beyond the current 'so you win'.

That's an interesting idea.

Ideally if the 'mech was destroyed in any part besides the head, then we could see the pilot jump out of the cockpit window, get a rocket launcher, and walk around the map, hiding behind objects and launching rockets to other objects/mechs.
Using building to hide inside, using their windows to snipe. Dropping under another destroyed mech and using it as a shield while shooting at the passing enemy.
Being able to jump into another mech's back if he is stationary and eventually destroy a component from a hatch or just capture it by killing the pilot inside.

This would all be possible with turrets or not in the match.
But somehow seems a little too much for a company that didn't even make a rear-view camera (or mirror if you'd like) on XXXI century metal warriors.
