I decided exactly what mech I wanted and how I want to fit it

seen here: http://mwo.smurfy-ne...9380d6b6f6fb52f

When I try to do the same fit in game I am having a lot of problems:

1. I can't find Any DOUBLE heat sinks, only single types.

2. saying I cant add certain of the same things shown cause its OVERWEIGHT on the RIGHT arm.

Double heat sinks you have to go to upgrades and purchase them...just like endo-steel chassis (which you should use also)

1. Click on upgrades, on the left hand side of the screen, instead of 'loadout.' You need to upgrade to double heatsinks.

2. Look at your weight in the bottom right corner of the screen. If it's saying you don't have enough tonnage, it's because your mech is overweight overall...not just on the arm. Look at the bottom right of your screen. Have you used all 50 tons?

3. Also, your build in Smurfy's has ALSO upgraded to Endosteel structure. Make sure you've done that also in the upgrades page.

Please be careful constructing this mech unless you know exactly what you're doing. Is it your intent to create a joke build? Seven large lasers is not actually a viable build, since you cannot fire more than 2 large lasers without incurring heat penalties- seven large lasers will seriously cook your mech.

Here is a heat simulator, set up with seven large lasers. Press the Alpha Strike button and observe the simulation: http://keikun17.gith...uble&engine=145

Uh, heh...looking at the mech I'll tell you exactly how that'd perform before ghost heat.
Watch this for what it would have done a year and a half ago.

Currently if you fire 6 LL, you'll self-destruct without at least 10 true DHS (250 engine). I'm counting 7 LL on that... Don't fire them at the same time and with a 145 engine you've got (250 - 25 - 25 -25 - 25 -5)you only have 5 true DHS and the rest are 1.4 DHS.

MWO now uses something called Heat Scale (we call it Ghost Heat) that punishes you for firing too many weapons at once (this is what the core heat system is supposed to do and is supposed to be consistent; hence our resentment to ghost heat which only targets certain weapons and selectively chooses when to punish).

As Redshift's link provides, make sure to "enable Ghost Heat" for the real demonstration. This is your mech. BOOM!

Am I the only one who noticed the ridiculously low armor on this Hunchback build? ;)

It's required to put that many LL onto the build. The player wanted a powerful Glass Cannon.
Examples below.

Now, far as the original poster.. You've obviously seen some of the warnings. Real quick, here's where you find Double Heatsinks.

Which once you click there you'll find things like DHS, Endo Steel Structure, Ferro Fibrous armor, etc.

And if you're interested in a cheap but effective and functioning high power build, that Hunchback right there is a 4P and here's what it has.

And you can watch it perform here, where you can get the video full screen. ;)

I would suggest sticking to "only" 2xPPC+2xLL or 4xERLL. There are limits beyond which you start getting one-shot from lack of armor and/or your weapons are so hot they become dead weight (not even one alphastrike before overheating).

If you're seriously going with that build. I'd put at least 1 point of armor on the arms and LT. First person to target you will see you're wearing nothing but paper.

Edit - Didnt mean to say a full ton.
