I want to simply add an opinion that I would think a lot of players would agree.. I have noticed a crazy increase in sales which is great, But the rate at which the development of the game is being done in hand with sales. It seems to me you folks are caring more about making money than finishing the game.... Also on a Side note I think us players, those that have invested time, money & continuous support for the game should be rewarded with some kind of loyalty for players still with the game. Logging in daily that sort of thing. What about maps? are there anymore battlegrounds getting designed?? or are we more worried about meeting clan mech deadlines for the release of those??? Just disappointing at the rate things are being done. If you guys want to keep loyal players there is a need to start giving us reasons to stay with it cause right now all I see is take take take, and nothing being given back except maybe a mech for wins or something silly, I say we need more contests or something to keep interested because it's failing fast. Again this is just my opinion if no one likes it sorry just being honest.

The game will be finished after all the packges comes out. If they showed us their hand right now, the disappointment would most likely cause a drop in clan sales.

Right now our imagination fuels the sale of the packages lol

EWWWWWWWW. CW is coming soooooooon. Better get your clan packs... you dont wanna miss out and be the only player in CW without your clan packs ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww lol.

K im officially tired. Whitekinights the forum is yours again. For tonight :(

Paul Inouye said in the last NGNG podcast that someone else is pulling the strings.

And this mysterious whoever cares more for quick money than a good game. (thats what i say)

This is free to play game and those are never finished per se. Just look at World of Tanks, League of Legends and etc. they are constantly adding new features, fixes, balance changes, maps, heroes/vehicles. Additively MWO's team isn't as big and development speed isn't as fast as those games but you should expect that as long as people are playing and business is profitable and Microsoft is giving the license the game will continue to add new things.

Adding new features I can understand. Launching... Nothing but a Combat generator Is what is supposed to be Beta Tested.

Paul needs to put his "Big Boy Shorts™" on and tell the phantom problem that the well has run dry and to focus on content.

This is also nothing new, WoT was in similar state on it's release. Over 3 years later they are at version 9.0 and they are not going to stop. To be honest I think it's wrong that both developers and players are applying old terminology to completely new model where development never stops.

Theres a point where old needs to trump new. Releasing an Incomplete game is not how it should work. Publish the finished game and then Add on as you go. The game was pitched as a Mechwarrior game in the Clan Invasion era. That means there are clans, there are worlds being invaded, and Houses in place, canon units to earn a seat in. Its not like they have to write this from scratch. the scenarios are already written, The outcomes can chance for MW:O cause its a living game.

who is pulling the strings? shouldn't founders be the steakholders? At leats they gave the initial money for the game to exist. The problem of most games today is they want fats money instead of a long term lower but steady money flow. And thats what laready killed a lot of games. But that doesn'T cares right? Just the fats money was important. Games are unfortunately not doen for gamign anymore, they are done for business.

That's absolutely fair point. Releasing incomplete games is bad practice. However my argument is that PGI isn't only or the worst company that uses this practice. Unfortunately this model isn't going anywhere, it's going to continue and it's going to be even worse. A lot of companies, even big like Ubisoft, uses early user engagement and monetization to explore and measure interest in their games with relatively low cost and risk.

I don't say that I approve this model but I think that I see part of the logic behind it. Also I think that it's to certain extent beneficial for us, the players. It's very likely that with traditional model games like MWO, Star Citizen, Elite, WoT, WarThunder would never exist because nobody would risk multi million dollars investment in them. But with relatively small investment in current f2p model companies can create base of the game and start generating income over time to build on that to create experience players want.

Waiting for that to happen really sucks and I share and understand frustration over lacking promised features. But I do hope that eventually we will get community warfare and then more features in the future and that game will eventually be as successful as WoT.

(PS: I know I may be naive but I remember that Steam was once considered biggest evil that happen to games industry and everybody hated it when it was introduced. I don't know if same thing will happen with PGI but it might and that is enough for me.)

To PGI's credit, however, there has been a glut of releases since UI2.0. Not much actual game content, maybe. But a lot of releases and features.

I am getting tired of waiting for the game though. :)

Founders are not investors, even if the packages are marketed to make it imply that.

Rhaythe's Cardiovascular Nighmare Steak Topping
  • Fill a plastic sandwich bag with plain Lays potato chips. Crush the chips into fine particulate.
  • Heat olive oil in a hot pan. Add onions, garlic, and bacon. Season with pepper (no salt).
  • Cook onions and bacon until they start to brown.
  • Empty the crushed chips into the pan and fry until all contents are browned nicely.
  • Dump the contents directly on top of your grilled steak.
You're welcome.

You shouldn't. With that kind of salt and transfat content, I had to register this recipe with my state's ATF. :)
