Im still on the fence with this Hero. I hate how slow it is going to be, but I made a few mock up builds with the dragon that I kinda liked.
For those of you that bought it could you post some pictures of the arm mounted ACs for the communities refference please.

UAC5s, AC10, LBX10, Gauss, we already know the AC5 looks pathetic and the AC2 will be a copy of that so depending on what those weapons look like will make or break the sale for me.

Lastly can you change all of the camo colors or are some of them locked in? Such as the Ember's blue, Goldenboys gold, TDKs silver and so forth.

WTF DO YOU WANT FROM A HEAVY?

"I'm not durable enough but I'm not fast enough" seems to be the Mantra of heavy pilots. Why do you need that speed? To avoid pinpoint weapons such as Ballistics and PPCS. Why do you need to be durable? Because faster lights butcher slow mechs. Attack the cause, not the symptoms.

To be fair, it can't get up to the default Quickdraw speed, so it's slow for a quickdraw.

But that's what you get when you load 25 tons of weapons in a 60 ton mech.

Im well know for running the biggest engines in every mech to squeeze the speed. 390XLs in my trebs, XL400 DS, Or you know the XL 355 jester... A heavier hero than the .44 and it goes 10 KPH faster.
Would you like to answer any of my queries? Or just critsize my playstyle?

The speed is fine, people need to get off the max engine or go home kick. it's not necessary.

but the visuals are horrible probably the worst hero camo

To be fair, it can't get up to default speed because ballistics are weighed differently, according to how powerful they are. A mech will ballistics should be gimped in another area or it's just stupidly OP like the ember. But that's what you get when ballistic weapons have twice the ammo and rate of fire they should. Hell... I'm not even throwing "recoil" into the equation or most mechs should be stationary.

Wait, there are visuals? I can't find any on this site (You know, the official one...)

PGI doesn't want casuals viewing their site or they might realize how undersold they were. Everyone knows what little you can cram into a tweet is enough these days to move units.

I actually like the camo pattern, but would like different colors if possible. Still waiting for an on topic reply...

As long as the yellow can change...... I like the whole circulatory system thing, oddly enough, but the base yellow is nauseating.

And it's yet another victim of "itty bitty gun syndrome". Shame....at least on the 5K, the PPCs look pretty cool.

as for those who bought it...ain't we a little early for that, still?

I think this will be a suicide ride - you'll have enough power and armor to "charge" in and brawl to a kill or with luck two... and then you'll go down because you're too slow to get out. But that 1-2 kills will be good clean fun ...
so the yellow color won't be a disadvantage

Found at NGNG...note the double meaning of its name...IV (intravenous) is also related to the circulatory system camo pattern: Posted Image

I think it is going to be a middle of the road hero. A 290 engine will get it up to 86 after tweak which is slow for the Quickdraw but isn't too shabby for a heavy in general. Truthfully though a bigger engine would make it difficult to utilize its shiny new ballistic hardpoints.

I think it will do well as a brawler though. Following around a big guy and supporting him like the overweight medium that it is

I'll wait for it to be on smurfy before I think about buying though. I want to see how hard it is to fit 2xUAC5s, 2xSSRM2s, and 2xMLasers on first.

Tiny cannons.

only the Gauss looks decent but it's like a snub nose cannon.

Also running duals of any cannon but LB10-X is rough. Considering how far apart the cannons are you will have a hell of a time getting both projectiles on target against moving targets.

I think you're underestimating the speed of the arms (they inherit the 4G's arm speed tweak).

Too bad such arms get shot off the 4G easily.

I am talking more about convergence when leading a target.

Because the arms are so widely spaced when you fire at a target who is moving generally only one of the projectiles hit due to the other being a mechs length away from the other.

Thanks for the helpful reply! How about paint colors are they all changeable?
