Can't See through Cockpit Glass? (Approved Change by PGI)

Modification Pulled from PGI Patch Notes
http://mwomercs.com/...86-29-apr-2014/

The following configuration variables have been exposed for tuning in your user.cfg file. To add these to your user.cfg file navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online (or your custom installation location) and if it doesn't exist, create a file user.cfg containing these settings as desired. Don't forget to set the value desired.

- gp_option_ShowCockpitGlass=0/1 (off/on)
- r_DepthOfField=0/1 (off/on)
- r_HDRGrainAmount=0.0-1.0 (film grain amount)

Cockpit glass is the light visual effect you might see in front of you. If you don't want that effect, you can disable cockpit glass. I kept DoF on and disabled film grain, but I'm also using a custom FoV set for my screen resolution (I can now actually see the interior of my 'Mech!). Let me look up the thread for FoV settings for you.

EDIT: Found it.

I like cockpit glass. But I want realistic cockpit glass.

This 'glass' or transplast (is what it really is; a translucent metal alloy) has a problem with how PGI renders it. When you look away from the sun, because of the lack of a 'backside' on cockpits, the glass shines and blinds you. When you look at the sun, the glass disappears. To me that is disgusting as it's the exact opposite of how it should be. So for now until it's fixed to work properly, I have mine off.

Edit: OCD on typos.
