You must have missed this bit:
"The following bug fix is redacted from today's patch notes:
-Fixed an issue where multiple 2-4 player groups can enter into a public match on the same team
All other bug fixes introduced remain intact."

I appreciate this suggestion. However, it's important to note that every player's definition of content is different.
For a great many players, and indeed for ourselves as developers, new Mechs do count as content just as much any other feature in the game we have added to, whether it's whole new facets like Private Lobbies or smaller additions like cockpit items inspired by the Community. With that in mind, I ask if you be more specific about what particular kind of content you would personally like to see more of. Thanks!

You know quite well what kind of content he is talking about. Take a minute to actually look at your latest "patch". One out of the two "new" mechs you brought in was created by someone else and voted on BY THE COMMUNITY. (That must have taken quite a bit of time to get that new content in huh?) Lets look at the one your team did bring in. a reskinned mech already in existence with a different hard point breakout. (The man hours to move those ones and zeros around must have taken months to preform.) Those two pieces of "content" are the MAJORITY of your "patch" post. Both are at the very front of the post and very prominent on the breakdown. Those are money grabs. Plain and simple. Lets look at the FOUR things that actually got fixed (sorry three things because YOU retracted one). All three of those were non-issues two patches ago. This is the literal version of one step forward, two steps back. This "patch" had ZERO new content. You know it. Your team knows it. The fact you had the audacity to ask for and explanation shows you are either trolling hard on your own forums and giving everyone a giant middle finger OR you are so disconnected from the player base its insulting. You already have plenty of "make money" options currently in the game IF you had a strong player base. The fact that you and your team have to keep coming up with new ones should tell you that WE are not happy. It should not scream to you "clearly they want new mechs and things to hang in their mechs". I have NO issue giving F2P games money if I feel they are deserving. I'm a founder in quite a few games besides this one and I still give them money on occasion for whatever thing. I do this because they stay in touch with the community. They put out new content. They ask what new features we would like to see. If they have an issue with a new patch they fix it THAT day usually while people are still in the game able to play. Overall theme here? THEY LISTEN. I'll check back in on this in about three months to see whats changed. My best guess (based on YOUR teams track record) new mechs. That's it. Seriously, you tell people to use third party VoiP's, mech building sites, AND then you hold contests to see who has the best mech build then YOU sell of THEIR intellectual property (another third party source). This used to have a tag line of "A thinking mans shooter". NOW? It's Call of Mechwarrior. Every game "type" is run at enemy, shoot enemy until you/they die. That's it. Those other F2P games I still give money to? Most of them have been around either the same amount of time as this OR after this went open beta. They have made FAR MORE progress than what we were promised way back in your original PC Gamer article. They have content. If you really need to figure out what that means go visit their forums. It might be an eye opener.

1. Maps.
2. Game Modes.
3. Community warfare.

We have way more Mechs and cockpit items than needed, but nowhere near enough maps, and still no community warfare. Some additional game modes would be good too.

I realise maps, game modes and CW are being worked on. However, the fact that new Mechs and cockpit items arrive with amazing rapidity, and yet it's been 5 months since the last map, and 18 months since CW was first supposed to be delivered, shows that PGI isn't putting enough of its limited resources where they are most urgently needed.

Yes, leave de mech type restriction, which is totaly unefficient (as we saw) and try to be make more equal-tonnage teams. Also the same numbers of small teams on both sides and let the crybabies who say they get stomp ALL the time to go and find a good group so that they r not so horrible. Public queue is acceptable as it is so dont loose too much time on it anymore and:
1. Maps.
2. Game Modes.
3. Community warfare.

PLZ!

And 8vs8 on private games no premium would be a nice upgrade...

Thx

I meant in same team 2-4 man on same team versus one 4 man...

Paraphrased, the bit I quoted says there are no longer restrictions on the number of premades per side.

add a stock only mode and I'll consider new mechs as content.

As of now, nope!

There are at least 3 player run leagues providing this functionality for you. Why don't you join one of those?

Might as well join in on the flamefest.

Why should I HAVE to join one of those leagues just to get a decent match? What if I don't like the nonsense and politics that goes with joining a group? Perhaps I've gone that route and it just isn't for me.

Because I'm someone that drops solo, does that mean I should have the worst possible gaming experience possible?

It hardly matters, PGI's business model is pretty obvious for anyone that has more than two brain cells to rub together.

The thing is about 'adding Mech content' is you are not letting adjustment to new players .. nor the ones that are trying to find a niche ... the timeline is shifting and shifting .. you once was quoted that 'All mechs will be made available' but you haven't even added 3 IS mechs and by the sounds of it ... never will. I'm sorry but as a bystander that has been watching this evolve .. it does seem like you are pushing more for money on mechs than giving maybe some new maps ... not sure if I am isolated on this .. but would love a proper 'cityfight' map .. an all urban affair that really tasks mechwarriors ... LRM boating is getting tiresome to be on the recieving end all the time .. you give with one hand .. and take with the other. I know the CLan Invasion is going to be quite a hit for 'Clanners' but some of IS lovers need to feel wanted aswell ... when I heard MWO was beginning .. my first thought was to my fav Mechwarrior RPG days ... the Warhammer WH-6R ... but alas all my hopes was dashed when I heard even the Marauder was slated ... Mechwarriors most iconic IS mechs ... not even on show. SO please ... how about a couple of new maps .. slow the timeline so it doesn't feel like a rollercoaster to get to the end of the MW Universe.

And really .. the 3/3/3/3 sucks @$$ ... why because you say it balances ... but then how come I was in 9 battles that involved 2x3 Pred packs ... heavy mech lovers getting bushwhacked by flys in a game that spouts 'balance'.

I felt that you want us to pay .. and just be like EA and give very little in return ... so many cries of 'New Maps' .. so little reply.

doesn't matter what you consider, the word "Content" is defined and treated as such.

Next Tuesday is patch day, not today.

That being said, I look forward them getting the MM tweaks into play so we can at least play thru the impact of limited premades and eventual 3x4 weightclass limits. What they cant fix by incentivizing medium mechs they can force us into via arbitrary limits.

Yeah the next official patch date is May 20th. But, that doesnt mean there will be a fix ready in time for that date.
In fact, in the last NGNG podcast, Karl Berg said that the 1 premade per team feature may not be viable at all due to the long wait times. So its likely that it will not be implemented at least as originally conceived. It will probably require recoding, testing then another player release down the road.

I hope that 3.3.3.3 is fixed by the 20th.

I sure hope that is true. Groups are limited far too much already, and I am primarily a solo-dropper. Allow any number of balanced teams, IMO, even if the exact numbers don't match (two 2-mans vs one 4-man, for instance).

The 1 premade per team rule is just a band-aid IMHO. The real solution is a premade-free, PUG only queue alongside an unlimited premade queue that any PUGs can opt to join if they want.
