When they dont choose to assume commander roles. Why does this happen? Is it a bug or a feature?

It's a bug. Normally hapens after you press a button. Either JJs or opening the map.

It can get pretty annoying after the third time in a match.

This has been happening to Me for at least a month now.

I am the last person who'd desire company command, so it always bugs Me a little when it happens.

This has been reported every single patch since UI2 in the patch discussion area of the forum. Last month we finally got someone (Big Daddy Alpha) who works for IGP to take notice, but he said he couldn't reproduce the issue. It's related to either spacebar or hitting jumpjets, there is some debate on that.

Send in a bug report, would be nice to get this fixed sooner than later.

I wonder if it's an issue with key bindings after you set up some custom mapping (and happened to pick the wrong new keys).

Sometimes when Im AFK and come back after 1-2 min, I have that star? Something is very wrong there?

I like to type a lot in most games and often get randomly assigned command while typing.
It also sometimes happens after using JJs, opening the map or using "Cruise Control" on the numPad.

I happen nearly 80% of games last week, but I haven't noticed it much lately, but it's still happening. Sometimes I get company command, other times just lance.

It seems to be spacebar related when jumpjetting while pressing the wasd keys, I mapped jumpjets to something different on my razer nostromo such as j or k for the button that was mapped to spacebar. I use the button above the Dpad for jumpjets http://www.razerzone...razer-nostromo/

After I remapped the jumpjets away from spacebar the problem stopped and when I accidentally played the game with another keymap profile with spacebar in the same place it bugged out again even when spacebar was unmaped so yes its to do with the spacebar.
