I want to share an idea.
Related to the feature (actually work in progress) related to have 1 group only per team.
If this is generating such a problem and wait lines, why don t you try to implement a scalable solution, such as "if Team A gets 1 group, then Team B needs 1 group AND IF Team A gets a second Group, then Team B needs a second Group"
It seems to me grouping is possibly dropping more often. Actually this is a good news, BEING MWO A TEAMWORK ORIENTED GAME.
So, if the goal is to keep the gaming experience balanced, just do not restrict policies about grouping, just make sure a drop is balanced and make sure you can reasonably allocate all the groups are out there ready to drop.
Maybe if you lok back at your metrics, 84% iis no longer a valid indicator for solo drops. If Grouping is growing up, you should handle that with a different strategy.
