I would write down the same block of text as in the Thread concerning my catapult... but that would be tiring
Bought a JR7-F and thought about customizing without really knowing stuff (and in blissfull ignorance of how much this would cost me...)

Instead of whipping up a random build, why not mention what upgrades the mech has (ferro, endo, double heatsinks), what standard and XL engines you currently own, what energy weapons you own, and what kind of budget you can afford, and ask for posters to whip up an effective build with those restrictions?

As for the listed build, it looks adequate though I'd max out the CT and leg armour and to compensate drop the arms to 20 points each and the head to 12, then add one more heatsink. Not a huge fan of MPLs on Jenners, but I've seen them used effectively.

I chain fire the lasers 2x2x2. It will get hot in Caustic and Tourmaline, but you are fast enough with Elite to run behind a small rock and cool off. You have to get in close, but once you are that close I have yet to see a medium or heavy that can turn as fast. Pretty good at taking out lights, too.

From the other thread you mentioned you had a Catapult C1, so I'm guessing you still have its stock engine? I'd suggest the next step of your build to be something like this JR7-F build (takes the 260 from the Catapult for a bit more speed, adds double heatsinks and endo-steel armour, then adds two more medium lasers or option B which adds two heatsinks instead of MLs). The first one is a hit and run mech while option b can fire repeatedly without worrying about overheating.
