MWO follows some TT rules as far as they fit with the function of the online game, but it is not an online recreation of TT.

I have a ton of missiles in my cockpit.. and some in my mechs right leg, which i fire from my mechs left arm. So don't try to tell me it would be unreasonable to mount JJs in a cockpit.
Sidenote: Doesn't anyone ever wonder how they did come up with the name for the pilot's place? Like, seriously. what happend?
A: "We need a name for the this place"
B: "name it cockpit! (lol)"
{LT-MOB-25}... pit... wtf?
*Edit, see? Even the forum thinks it's kinda ankward.

For example on the Firestarter the ones on the torsos thrust upward. The ones on the legs are angled at 45 degrees. So more upthrust? Torso mount 'em. More forward thrust? Leg mount them.
Want to flip? Leg mount 4 and none anywhere else!
But seriously I just think of them as 'energy storage tanks' for said JJs. Only downfall is losing them from wherever they get blown up.

OT much? yes, sorry.
Pssst!
LT-MOB-25 is the official designation of the Long Tom Mobile artillery piece.
Edit: rather like the CN9-A for the basic Centurion
Edited Edit: spelling and apologies for all the edits

From a gaming POV, putting them in the legs or CT gives you more side torso space for other (bulky) systems.

Because of Ammunition explosions? I've seen people here putting ammo with the weapon and seen them lose their components like butter because of it.
X)
Yeah but the point was that how is it possible to feed ammo from the legs to arm mounted weapons A crane on the back that loads it externally? Because I can't picture a sophisticated network of internal ammo belts running from legs to arms through the knee joints, pelvis and torso sections....

I'd love to see a Victor or Atlas load their AC/20 by pulling out an ammo magazine (or clip) from a thigh compartment and slapping it into the AC/20 during a match, that would be awesome.
I know it'll be some work, so it's something that would be on the backburner for the devs if it was something that was being considered, but I'd love to see something like that in the future.
