Hi folks.
How about Mech Explosions? Just Imagine this..
You are nearly dead, Your mech ist badly cribbled, in your last few moments you are still alive, you try to get closer with your Mech to the Enemy who is shooting at you at close range.
Then, last hit, center Torso, your mech crashed down, bum, ....bang,,,,ka---WUM!
You where able to got closer to your Enemy, nearly 30m, after 2 small Explosions the Last and Final Explosion damaged your Enemy sireously. The EMP Puls of your Mech going down was shutting his Mech Down also for a small period of time.
All the Amunition in your Mech explodes also in smaller Explosions, and hits everything what comes in to closer range.
Would be nice to have such a Addon. Lets see how raven - Pilots will handle the EMP-Puls folowing the 3 Explosion in a Range of 80m, when your Mech goes down and they shutting down also. :-)
And sorry about the english, never wrote that much in english.

It's good idea, imho... You think only Kai Allard Liao's fight, when he exploded one mech and that was demolished 2 other which was near that exploded mech?

you would be surprised they dont have it in already ,since mechs have reactors that explode , would help people butt huggin each other team wise and enemy wise makes you cautious

In one of the mechwarrior games you could make your mech go supernova by removing the heatsinks and adding a lot of weapons.

I remember in the original intro for this game, the Warhammer makes a huge freakin explosion after the guy ejects

Supposedly the reason for not doing this is that the reactors are fusion powered not fission powered (in other words incredibly stable) and thus the reactors will almost always stop function before exploding...
Now that said, this makes sense if said engine failed to explode, leaving you with salvage.
But what about an ammunition explosion?
The mechs are literally torn apart from the inside with a rampaging series of internal explosions.
An ammunition explosion happens shortly fter 5:17.
Now if only the mech explodes when dying from that cause, as in the digital tabletop (megamek) once an ammunition explosion kills the mech it is vaporized to the point that it leaves a crater.
I'd like that very much.
I'd also like to see 'ejecting pilots' too.
