Hi!

I want to get the X-5, I think the last time it was on sale was in february.

Now I am wondering if anyone could roughly tell me how long the time between sales of a mech usually is?

If I will have to wait a few months before it goes on sale again I guess I will buy it now for the full price, but if sales usually happen within a month I'd rather wait.

I was actually clicking on purchase when it shut off for the update

It's really hit and miss - I've seen some go on sale within a couple of months of each other, some I've just not seen go on sale since I got my desktop running and started playing properly.

Apparently it is random.. The Huginn isn't that old but it's on sale now... and if you like lights and can be patient, it is a great mech... otherwise it isn't for you.

Meh.. fail to see what is good about the Cicada as a whole. Lights with any competence will still destroy them, including the C5.

Cicadas in general are pretty good at their light role, and the X-5 is a strong performer. Enjoy the purchase!

All the cicadas are really good mechs, IMO. I've played all of them except the X-5; they are basically just light mechs on steroids. Great for running down scouts, sniping, or sneaking around.

As a primary light mech pilot, I always found them easy targets.. granted, that would probably be different if I played heavier roles.

The X-5 is a fine mech, though in all honesty I rarely run it anymore. There's other Heroes in my stable that have become the breadwinner for my C-Bill [bank] account. I tend to find SRMs work better than Streaks in the X-5, but that's just my preference. The way it shoots SRM6s in a 2-2-2 fashion, in my opinion, makes a very unique and satisfying noise when it goes slam-slam-slam into someone's backside.

Hmm... I see the YLW on sale... I've been meaning to get that for awhile now...
