Having issues in various matches locking on to Firestarters with streaks. They can run right at me and will not lock till under 100m. Yes I have BAP too.

Bap doesn't counter ecm unless you get close enough, ecm range is bigger. But firestarters don't get ecm so must have been a nearby enemy.
Also if there is more than one ecm in range Bap won't help. Not sure what might be causing issues here

Pataine, given you were able to obtain a lock it seems ECM may not have been the issue... could you give us more detail into the situation you encountered so we may work up some explanation for this?

Do you have Artemis on your Mech?

No was there no ecm around was in the valley in Caustic and he was the only mech around. Yes Artemis.

in MWO Artemis DOES help streaks. It helps them lock on faster. (its a bug that's been in since CB)

Artemis increases the Lock-On-Speed for Streaks by a significant amount bcs Streaks and LRM share the code for it.
I too have occasions where Streaks and LRM do not get a lock in the expected time while no ECM is around so i wondered if Artemis may inflict this bug or if non-Artemis-Launchers suffer too...

I get weird lock on issues for LRMs as well sometimes. No ecm anywhere but the lock stops JUST before its locked. Line of sight or not, with and without artemis, with and without tag. I don't think there is a pattern other than sometimes the lock hangs. It doesn't back off it doesnt finish locking unless I change targets.
I really wouldn't care if the lrms would fire straight and level if there was no lock - at least they would be more useful than the current smash into the ground I get on a partial lock.

having the same problem as well, lock just stop or taking long time to lock, or just vanishing just before lock, think it's ping problem

My ping is usually 55-75 tops. Might be the other players ping tho.
