OK PGIGP please for the love of everything holy remove the weighted measures on certain maps

Terra Therma
Crimson Straights
Alpine Peaks
Caustic Valley

There is no way they are even in the rotation. Since the reset I am dropping almost a 2:1 ratio of theses maps as compared individually with any other map out there.

Do not say its "Just the RNG" no its not, they are weighted some how and its obvious, look at your stats.

If you add the maps with variants together they show add up to the same frequency as the maps without variants.

I'm not going to deny there seems to be some weighting there.
Although that said it is seemingly on to the bigger maps which were designed for 12v12. So maybe there is actually reason behind a weighting.

ALSO and probably more correctly. Someone mentioned above about maps with 2 variants being weighted half as much. That also makes sense.

With the exception of Craptic Valley the most plentiful drops for me are the newer maps. (almost 3 to 1 in most cases)
Matches Forest Colony 20 Frozen City 20 Caustic Valley 42 River City 16 Forest Colony Snow 15 Frozen City Night 17 River City Night 13 Alpine Peaks 44 Tourmaline Desert 37 Canyon Network 39 Terra Therma 41 Crimson Strait 31 HPG Manifold 46

The weighting is done in response to having the "duplicate maps" show up half as much. This goes for Frozen City (Night), Forest Colony (Snow), and River City (Night).

Yea looking at mine and adding together variants, basically everything is ~80-100 times played. Since I've played ~865 games and there 10 unique maps (not counting variants), 86 times played is about 10% chance of getting that map. So, it looks pretty darned uniformly random.

That amount of variance is easy to explain in the usual ways.
