Will there be servers to serve South East Asia?

Not initially but the devs are looking to implement regional servers.

Support for Australia and New Zealand seems to be strong and from that I think SEA players will stand to benefit, because lag-wise we're in the same practical region.

Am not in Asia but maybe Singapore be a good place for a future server?

Singapore's not the best place because depending on how some Aussie ISPs handle their routing it may be as bad as connecting to North American servers. For example, connecting to Singapore from Melbourne under TPG's plan used to put me at around 200+ ping.

The best solution for all might be servers in Perth I think. Good connection from all around the region and good connection within Australia and NZ as well. I don't know if this is true for countries further north like Thailand, Philippines, Japan, Taiwan etc... though, they might not connect as well to a server in Perth vs a server in Singapore.

Hmm i thought since Singapore is in a central location with good net coverage and being stable it was a fine choice but 200 ping is on the problematic side for Australia and likely New Zealand in a fast action game...In early days of WOT they only had a USA server. From Denmark in Europe I got around 185ping. When the EU server came up, its around 60 ping, a notisable improvement.

Japan and Taiwan just seems too fare away although im sure their net is fast overall, not sure about Thailand and Philippines.

Just checked and WOT actually has their Asian server in Singapore, maybe some AUS WOT players can enlighten us about the ping, although i think they are all on the USA server.

World of Tanks and and Tribes: Ascend have their servers in Singapore. It's unlikely to be in Australia. Singapore is just geographically more advantageous; total reach is far more than Oz. Infrastructure wise it's either Oz or SG - I wouldn't trust a server center anywhere else.

I'm asking cause I'm considering getting in on the Founders program, but without confirmation of server locations I'm hesitant.
