Firestarter And Ams Flashing (Annoying)

Hi folks

Anyone else out there with medium to high graphics experiencing the following?

-Play Firestarter with 1-2 AMS on it.
-Watch AMS shoot missiles down.
-Experience EXTREMELY IRRITABLE FLASHES from AMS fire in cockpit.

The level of eyestrain (for me at least) is so bad that I have to either remove them or not play firestarters at all, and they're quickly becoming my favorite light mech. :<

Hmm It happens to me aswell but I love the immersion factor it gives me!

Lol, try piloting a Shadowhawk with multiple ballistics.

The effect is incredibly annoying to the point where I avoid AMS on my firestarters because of it.

You mean it realistic and creates that immersion everybody likes?

Of course the glass is cool. It is the service crew that needs to be fired or whipped for not cleaning it.

As for the flashing ... immersion is good. The weak willed shoudl have an option to choose "Hello Kitty Mode" though ;)

Also, those piloting Firestarters should be punished anyway. Take it as a hint from destiny :angry:

You think the flashing in the Firestarters are bad? Try playing a Commando with AMS. It sits right next to the cockpit.

I love the light effects in the cockpit when AMS is getting to work. To bad you dont like, but i do.

It's the same problem with machine guns and other ballistics, the muzzle flare effect in this game is extremely overdone. Try playing something like a Shadowhawk and put a machine gun in the left torso, makes you want to gouge out your eyes.

This sort of thing as well as the horribly bad UI "2.0" tells me that PGI doesn't test what they put out nearly enough, or if they do they barely give a crap about what a number of players think.

It's hard to believe that the guys who tested the mech design at the factory didn't notice the blindingly annoying flashing of the AMS in the testing phase. The first thing the test pilots would say is: "Can you do something about that damn AMS flash?"
